In last week's class we made gum paste flowers, which are like fondant flowers, except they dry really hard. Fun stuff!

Royal icing...

This week we learned all about Royal icing.
It's icing that dries hard as a rock - you know, all those flowers on cakes that you don't want to eat! Some of my flowers didn't turn out that well, because my icing was too stiff, but later I watered it down and was able to get some cute stuff.

We also learned to draw cute birdies out of icing! Drawing stuff with icing is awesome! Harder than with a pencil, but fun!
