Playing with food...
AKA My wedding Cake! part 2-
I really enjoy the taking pictures part of making cakes. It's like doing a fashion shoot. It's a skill on its own.
This was a white chocolate/whiskey cake I tested out, adapted from a Peggy Porschen recipe. It wasn't whiskey-ish enough though, but it tasted amazing! Very caramel-y. I threw some lemon curd on it to see how it would taste, and of course the lemon just overpowered everything else. I would like my cake to have some sort of tropical fruit involved though. Probably mango. Maybe lime. More testing MUST be done!
OMG I'm getting married in 3 weeks. Let me freak out just for a second.

Lemons Are My Favourite Thing Right Now
I recently learned the art of canning. Now when the zombie apocalypse comes, I'll have canned lemon curd on hand! Sweet!

Lemons of Mass Destruction
Lemon curd is amazing! So amazing!
Here's how to make it!
It's so good, I think I'm going to make a couple more batches and send them to people. It must be shared!
We were going to have a picnic in the park today, but then we woke up to rain - so I decided to make an indoor picnic! The lemon curd goes really well with scones, tea, and Kung Fu Panda 2!
Saturday morning cartoons - oh yeah!
